Introductory free training course

A new organisation has been launched – Sanctuary Mental Health – devoted to mental health training for churches. It's an offshoot of Canadian group, Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries.

It may be worth exploring whether your parish or church community wants to take up their offer, given the major focus on the mental health impacts of the pandemic, and the risk of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) for many.

Our Anna Chaplaincy Church Lead, Julia Burton-Jones, is impressed by the group training course for churches (which is free to download at the moment) and she's watching some of the accompanying videos to report back.
