May 2026 marks the 1st ‘Anna’versary of Anna Chaplaincy in Littleton. In that time our Anna Chaplain Kate has had meaningful contact with over 100 residents on a regular basis, met with friends and families, and supported them through the year with challenges that arose.
She has set up a regular community café in the village, and a monthly drop-in session, called "Littleton Lounge", to meet with other adults to chat, share ideas and, of course, partake in 'proper’ coffee and some cake (a key part of the Anna ministry!).

On top of all of this, Kate leads a monthly art session in one of the care homes too.
'To celebrate this momentous occasion' reports Kate, 'our monthly Community Lunch took on a red and white Anna Chaplaincy theme. The dessert was even on brand - a delicious strawberry and cream pavlova.'
'Celebrations continued at our monthly Littleton Lounge session, where we had a birthday cake to supplement the usual display of treats. Instead of singing Happy Birthday, we thought of those who had been touched by Anna Chaplaincy, of those we had sadly lost over the last year, and of our hopes for the next year. It took 3 people to finally extinguish the candle!'
