Further to our blog back in November on the preparation of knitted angels in Frinton-on-Sea, we are now delighted to report that the angels ‘winged their flight’ to a grand total of 14 local care homes! Each angel had attached to it a Bible verse and message of love from God and the local churches and each church took a group of carol singers with them to bless the residents.
In the end, over 500 angels had been knitted, so others were given to carers and cared for at the Dementia Café and also to people in the community receiving a delivery of Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day. All were given with a message of God’s love and hope.
What a wonderful way to bless the local community – well done to Anna Chaplain Sally Bates for coordinating the angelic host!
