A joy to get together

It was a real joy for the national Anna Chaplaincy team to meet with several of the local coordinators from across England and Wales earlier this week, and then for the freelance training team to convene the following day!

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: local coordinators are crucial to the growth and support of local Anna Chaplaincy networks, working closely with the central team and often serving as Anna Chaplains themselves, or as diocesan staff with several hats to wear.

Similarly, the freelance training team are tireless in working alongside Julia Burton-Jones in developing and refining the Anna Chaplaincy training offer, and sharing a depth of expertise appreciated by all who undertake our courses and workshops. Ministry Lead Debbie Ducille commented after Monday’s gathering:

'We had a super time together with nine local coordinators plus Julia, Jane [Butcher], and myself in person in Birmingham, plus six others joining online in the afternoon. Attendees came from Truro, Portsmouth, Southampton, South Wales, Bristol, Lancashire, St Alban’s, Cheltenham, and Cambridge. What amazing commitment!'
