You may recall adverts on the blog page a few weeks ago, hailing the return of the Church Resources event to Belfast after several years’ absence, which took place last month (on September 18).
Ministry Lead Debbie Ducille was very pleased to combine two roles in one, therefore, representing BRF Ministries as a charity by holding a marketplace presence/bookstall, while also co-leading a workshop presentation with local coordinator of Anna Chaplaincy for Belfast Central Mission, the Revd David Campton.

A great deal of interest prior to the event resulted in large numbers of church leaders and members attending throughout the day, and many positive and in-depth conversations were held. Of particular encouragement was that over 40 people headed straight for the Anna Chaplaincy presentation, which was first on the schedule that morning.
‘There are a great many new connections to be followed up from this fruitful day,’ Debbie observed: ‘Interest in all aspects of BRF Ministries’ work enabling local churches, was evident – a good number of books were sold, and yet again copies of the Anna Chaplaincy Easy Guides went like hot cakes! It was also a great joy to reconnect with some familiar faces, including Gillian and Gayle, who have both taken training with Anna Chaplaincy over the years.’

‘We were particularly grateful for the fantastic support from Richard at The Book Well, a superb Christian bookshop in Belfast, which remains a hub of activity and contact for church members across the city – a precious resource that can seem under threat in some other parts of the UK. We were delighted to hear Richard’s warm commendation of BRF resources and we're glad to partner with him in this way.’
‘Huge thanks must also go to Revd David and the BCM team who once again invested a great deal of time in promoting Anna Chaplaincy throughout the day. I always suspected it, but now I’m sure after this event, that David knows pretty much everyone in the church in Northern Ireland! What a wonderful gift this rich network is, and will continue to be, as Anna Chaplaincy takes root in Northern Ireland. Watch this space…’
