Dates for your diary coming up this autumn

A conference for Christian grandparents: BRF Ministries' very own Becky Sedgwick from Parenting for Faith will be among the key speakers and contributors to this conference, coming up soon in Milton Keynes, on Saturday 3 October.
To book a place, use the QR code on the flyer here, or visit the website: https://www.christiangrandparents.co.uk/
'Silver Sunday' is usually celebrated on the Sunday closest to International Day for Older People on 1 October, an important marker around the world, recognising the challenges and opportunities of an ageing population. For a range of resources and information, why not visit the Centre for Ageing Better website?

Silver Sunday is often chosen, therefore, to offer a range of 'Celebrating Age' services, Anna Chaplaincy commissioning services and celebrations of all kinds taking place around the country, on Sunday 4 October. Do write to the Anna Chaplaincy team with news of any events held in your church, with photos (and permission to use them) if possible.
Silver Sunday has for some time been organised and supported by Age UK, but it's noted on their website: 'Age UK will no longer be coordinating Silver Sunday, but fully support anyone who wishes to hold an event in celebration of a national day that brings joy to thousands of people across the UK.'
'Sight Loss Sunday' - Sunday 11 October. Sight loss can impact individuals of all ages, of course, but it is also acknowledged as part of the ageing process that many of us will experience. The Anna Chaplaincy network has benefited from training about sight loss from the Torch Trust, and the Trust's website has a range of resources for churches to use, encouraging recognition of, and relationship with, those experiencing sight loss present in their communities.
