Inquiry begins into Intergenerational approaches to tackling loneliness
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Tackling Loneliness and Connected Communities has launched an inquiry into new intergenerational approaches that can combat social isolation and bring generations together.
Loneliness can be experienced by people of all ages, and while there are some excellent initiatives focus on combatting social isolation in particular age groups, the APPG are considering how new intergenerational approaches might transform our understanding and approach to loneliness in the UK.
Anna Chaplains and many others in the church might well have great examples and evidence of activities and projects that take this approach. Why not take a moment to complete a submission to the group? Christians and other faith communities of the UK are currently underrepresented on the APPG, so the more evidence gained from faith groups, the clearer the case for the impact that faith groups have in our communities.
