New team member for Anna Chaplaincy at BRF

We are delighted to welcome Marian Muskett as our new part-time coordinator alongside Alex Burn.

Marian Muskett

Marian is Hampshire-based and joins the Anna Chaplaincy team from a background in careers education and guidance. After 20 years working in a sixth form college, she was seeking God’s direction for the next phase of life.

Her awareness of the needs of older people has developed over many years and through the many churches with which she has been involved as the wife of a church minister, as well as through caring for her own elderly relatives.

Marian is enthusiastic about cross-generational opportunities, having led church groups for a wide range of ages, spanning toddlers and Sunday school, young mothers and Mothers’ Union groups and leading all-age worship. She is also keen to see churches of all denominations working increasingly together, and has been a member of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical churches herself.

Outside of work, Marian is a keen gardener, crafter and family historian, and has two grown-up daughters and one small granddaughter.

‘I remember my Granny, already well into her 80s, regularly baking cakes to take to “elderly” folk in her community, who were often younger than she was! She was a great inspiration to me in terms of both faith and fortitude. ‘It is a privilege to me to be joining the Anna Chaplaincy team to support those ministering to older people. I am excited about joining the BRF family and learning more about the varied work of the ever-growing number of Anna Chaplains.’
