Norfolk Anna Chaplains get the message across

Updated: Oct 25, 2022

Anna Chaplains invited to have a stand at Norwich Diocesan Synod meeting

… and of course, we jumped at the chance (writes Gaye Hailstone). On Saturday, October 15 we arrived at the venue and set up a simple stand with a banner provided by Anna Chaplaincy’s head office. The hall was packed and during the break, people visited the ‘market place’ which featured stands from many Christian organisations, including us.

We were thrilled to find that most of the people we spoke to had heard of Anna Chaplaincy and were really supportive and genuinely interested to find out more about what we do. We ended the session with a list of people to contact with more information and invitations to give talks to the Mothers’ Union and to a deanery in the city of Norwich.

An unexpected bonus was that we were invited to hear the talk by the keynote speaker – John Spence who sits on the Archbishop’s Council Finance Committee – brilliant!

Revd Madeline Light, Margaret Blackshaw and I all attended the event.
