David Winter is remembered with great affection as a writer and broadcaster. He has died at the age of 96. He was a former Head of Religious Broadcasting for the BBC, and for a time edited BRF's New Daylight Bible Reading notes. In more recent years he was a contributor to BRF's Bible Reflections for Older People.
Chief Executive Richard Fisher paid tribute to the late BRF author who held a special place in the affections of readers and the charity's supporters around the world:
You may also read an excerpt from one of David's reflections on growing older in which he explored the importance of gratitude.
As Richard Fisher said: 'One of the last things David wrote for us was a series of reflections for Bible Reflections for Older People May–August 2018, entitled ‘The thankful life’.' An extract is re-published 'in honour of our much-missed friend and colleague'.
