The last few miles into Abingdon... as sponsored walk total smashes the half way target!

Anna Chaplaincy ministry lead Debbie Ducille and her friend Kate Arden-White are on the final lap of their sixty mile walk from Alton to Abingdon. Later today (Friday September 20) we'll be there to meet them - colleagues and friends at BRF's Abingdon headquarters and to congratulate them on their efforts.

The walkers' Just Giving page shows they have raised more than £2,500 and are hopefully on the way to reaching the £5,000 mark in coming days!

BRF Chief Executive Richard Fisher and his wife Karen joined them on Wednesday as they crossed the River Thames at Goring and accompanied them throughout a nine-mile or so stretch.

The walkers have paused at historic Dorchester Abbey and are now on their final few miles before reaching their final destination - for a service of celebration at Abingdon's Peachcroft Christian Centre at 2pm today.

We're looking forward to hearing all about the people they have met along the way including Oxfordshire Anna Chaplain Wendy Moorin and her dog Tilly, and joining in a care home Messy Vintage session!

Well done Debbie and Kate - almost there!
