'Help us to save wonderful UK churches' - The National Churches Trust is carrying out a survey to help policymakers, the media and the wider public better understand the challenges churches face.
Church Urban Fund is publicising this through our networks and Anna Chaplaincy is part of their Together Network. Church Urban Fund CEO, Bishop Rob Wickham, writes:
The recent Westminster Hall debate on the use of church buildings for community strengthening… highlights both the extraordinary positive impact that Christian and other faith communities make and the short-sighted decision of Government to restrict and potentially end the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme.
The results of this survey will update the House of Good report and will aid the wider policy work of National Churches Trust, Church Urban Fund and other charities. I do encourage all Partners of CUF (of all denominations) to encourage all within our networks who have a church building to complete it.
The National Churches Trust writes:
If you work or volunteer at a church, chapel or meeting house, we want to hear from you.
Your response will provide essential evidence to build a clearer picture – to tell a stronger, more informed story - about your church, and others like it, so that together we can address some of the biggest challenges facing churches and help ensure their future.
