We’ve just received notification that Elizabeth MacKinlay wil be speaking live on a webinar from Canada - Considering our own ageing, spiritual journeys, transcendence and frailty in later life.
As Anna Chaplains will know, Elizabeth MacKinlay features prominently in our training manual the Anna Chaplaincy Handbook. So this is a great opportunity on January 15, next year to hear her speaking and answering questions.
To giver her her full title, the Revd Prof Elizabeth MacKinlay is from the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture and PACT at Charles Sturt University and is just one of several eminent speakers lined up for the winter 2025/2026 programme of the Toronto-based 'Encore webinars'.
Each of the forthcoming webinars begins at 9pm British time. They offer an array of topics relevant to spiritual care; from moral trauma and moral healing at the end of life,
to creating joy through spiritual relationships and volunteer service. See the full programme information at https://uwaterloo.ca/grebel/events/spirituality-and-ageing-encore-webinar-series
The first webinar takes place soon, on Thursday December 11, and is given by Allen Power, Schlegel Chair in Aging and Dementia Innovation. His topic is "How my Music Informs My Life, My Work, and Spirit"
