Bravo the Nationwide whose slogan is 'a good way to bank.' An article in the weekend's Financial Times highlights the former building society's latest move to win customers of all ages - free 45 minute appointments with Dementia UK's Admiral Nurses.

FT writer Claer Barrett, of the 'Serious Money' column, writes of the Nationwide's promise 'to keep all is sites open until 2028 at least', saying it means 'it is literally the "last bank in town" in 135 UK locations.'

She draws attention to the Nationwide's move to offer appointments with specialist dementia nurses to both customers and non-customers alike. Amanda Beech, Nationwide's director of retail services, says that with nearly one million people in the UK living with dementia, banks are a vital part of the system of support.
