I subscribe to Louise Morse's excellent blogs for the Pilgrims' Friend Society and the latest showcases an exceptional poem.
It was written by Jackie Bridgen, business manager at one of the Pilgrim's Friend care homes, Leonora, inspired by the preaching of Peter Baker of Landsdowne Baptist Church, Bournemouth.
Jackie says she took from the sermon 'the key phrases and bones of the poem: I pulled the headings and one particular phrase from Sunday’s sermon (at Ladyfield Evangelical church, Chippenham), and wrote an outline, and drew some squiggles and then I "wrote" it live this morning with help from the Holy Spirit.’
