Commissionings in the Bangor and Holyhead Methodist Circuit

Jan Isbell tells of recent commissionings in Wales

A seed was sown over seven years ago in the Bangor and Holyhead Circuit and on 8 March another part of the jigsaw was put in place when Revd Nick Sissons commissioned four Anna Friends and myself, as Anna Chaplain at Capel Zinc in Llanfairfechan. The church was full and the congregation was made up of people from different denominations in the area. A truly ecumenical event. The first piece of the puzzle for me personally, was revealed when I saw an advertisement for the post towards the end of last year. It spoke to me loud and clear. Currently, I am learning on Zoom as part of a group representing all corners of the UK. Sally Rees is leading our training and imparting her knowledge, expertise and experience. The Anna Friends and Nick have already established links with three residential homes in Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan, and I look forward to meeting staff and residents and working alongside them to see how we can help provide spiritual care to both those of faith and none. May the seed continue to be nourished, grow and flourish.
