The Anna Chaplain for Rochester Cathedral, Chris Bostock, has shared this video of the 'Cross of Light' formed in the cathedral nave in memory of those who have died during the pandemic locally.

The Dean of Rochester, the Very Revd Dr Philip Hesketh, lit 1,184 candles to mark all 'those who have died with coronavirus in the past three months in Medway and throughout Kent'.

The figure of 1,184 people is the total number of those who have died since 5 March, when government figures began to be published. Dean Philip said, 'We remember those precious lives and pray that they will rest in peace and rise in glory.'
