Daily prayers for the coronation – souvenir gifts for the community

Updated: Mar 15, 2023

The coronation of King Charles III taking place on Saturday 6 May 2023 at Westminster Abbey, will see a service steeped in centuries of tradition and rich in Christian symbols and values. To mark such an important moment in history and the nation’s life, the Church of England has compiled a palm-sized booklet of Daily Prayers. They are available individually or in discounted larger packs: £1.50 for each copy, £12.50 for a pack of ten or £50 for a pack of fifty.

From Easter Day (9 April) through to Coronation Day (6 May), the booklet provides a daily theme, a reading, reflection and prayer for use by individuals, churches or groups who wish to use these days to: * pray for the King, our nation and the world * explore the symbolism of the coronation service * reflect on Jesus, the servant king.

Just as special mementoes of excerpts of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s speeches and prayers were popular gifts made by churches to their communities, we’re sure to see Daily Prayers for the Coronation of Charles III being presented as historic souvenirs as well as practical and beautifully-illustrated tools for worship and outreach.
