Inspirational reading for Lent

As Lent approaches, you might like to read how one Anna Chaplain prepares for this season. In the latest edition of BRF e-news, there is an article by Sister Marian, an Anna Chaplain in the Sketty area of Swansea.

Sister Marian is a religious living in the community. She tells how it took many years and a bout of serious illness to teach her how to really be there for God.

‘I wanted to give my life to God’s service, but from the beginning I have, more or less, told him what I am going to do for him. I have learnt that this is not the way to do it. The way I should have prayed is, “Lord, I want to serve you. Here I am. What do you want me to do?”’

The e-news bulletin also showcases a range of BRF books to help us reflect more deeply during Lent.
