New Anna Chaplaincy page goes live on Portsmouth Diocese’s website

Updated: May 12, 2022

Anyone wanting to find out more about Anna Chaplaincy as it spreads in the Portsmouth Diocese has a dedicated webpage to visit.

It will keep everyone informed about future information events as Bishop Jonathan Frost implements his plan to see Anna Chaplains supporting older people in every parish.

‘There will be magazine features about the care of older people as we go along’, said communications adviser Neil Pugmire. ‘We’ll obviously keep adding to the page as things happen.’

Former teacher, Dr Coleen Jackson was commissioned in St Michael’s, Chalton on Sunday evening, 1 May, the first Anna Chaplain to be commissioned on the mainland of the diocese. Anne Powell is Anna Chaplain for the West Wight on the Isle of Wight.
