Congratulations to Jonathan Webster on becoming an Anna Chaplain. He was commissioned on Sunday June 29 as he begins working across the Ouse Valley Benefice in West Norfolk.
The benefice, in the Diocese of Ely, includes the communities of Bexwell, Crimplesham, Denver, Hilgay, Ryston, Southery and Ten Mile Bank - seven rural villages in, or close to, the Norfolk fens.
The service was led by the Revd Nigel Moat, with reflections on Anna Chaplaincy being shared by Pat Blyth, and Anna Chaplain and a Licenced Lay Minister.
Pioneer of Anna Chaplaincy Debbie Thrower adds:
'I used to live and work in West Norfolk when I was a cub reporter on the Lynn News and Advertiser. It is a special thrill to see Anna Chaplaincy reaching into these villages whose names I remember so well from my twenties.
It's a 'patch' I used to cover when I was on the news team for the local paper and I send warm wishes to Jonathan as he serves people in these communities.'
