Pontypridd’s Anna Chaplain is officially commissioned

Updated: Jun 15, 2023

You may recall a blog about Revd Hilary Prichard earlier this year, writes Debbie Thrower. Although she began her Anna Chaplaincy ministry in the South Wales town of Pontypridd a few months ago, Hilary officially received her commissioning certificate from Revd Rob May on Sunday 4 June.

Revd May is one of the regional ministers of the South Wales Baptist Association, and the service took place at Hope Christian Community, Graig, attended by many church members and friends.

Anna Chaplaincy lead for Wales, Revd Sally Rees gave a message and Hilary was ‘presented’ by Mrs Mavis Martin, Anna Chaplain in nearby Bridgend. She was commissioned by Mark Dorey, leader at Hope Christian Community.

Hilary is volunteering as Anna Chaplain primarily in the locality of Pontypridd, alongside her main work as a Healthcare chaplain at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. She is also going to be sharing information about Anna Chaplaincy with other churches in the locality, and more widely within the South Wales Baptist Association area.
