  • Salary, £28–32k (FTE) – dependent on skills and experience. Includes 8% non-contributory pension.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at All Saints’ Church in Lindfield, West Sussex, for a seniors’ pastor to lead ministry among seniors (65+) within the church and the wider community. They are looking for a follower of Jesus who can bring prayer, vision, energy and leadership to this growing area of ministry. A love for seniors is essential and will be evidenced in a desire to see each individual cared for, nurtured in faith and drawn closer to the life of the church and the love of Christ. Seniors ministry at All Saints finds a focal point at Tiger @ Ten, a fortnightly, Tuesday gathering of around 100 seniors. The work extends to small groups, courses, pastoral visiting, ministry among care homes and networking within the community. The current role holder, who retires at the end of 2022, is employed for 20 hours a week and assigns their time to Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The precise hours and allocation of days is subject to negotiation and is somewhat flexible. The successful candidate will begin the role in 2023, subject to an agreed start date. There is an occupational requirement that the job-holder is a practising Christian and will be required to abide by and display the values and ethos of All Saints Lindfield.
