Debbie Ducille joined many of the Anna Chaplaincy network members in Cumbria on Saturday 16 September for their annual conference in Penrith. Entitled ‘Telling our story’ this year, those present were able to benefit from input by Miriam Baird as a Dementia Friend, plus workshops focused on Renew Wellbeing, Godly Play and a lovely sewing project to take home. The day ended with a national update from Debbie that included a guided reflection on the wise words of St David: ‘Be joyful; keep the faith; and do the little things…’ This was followed by closing worship and refreshments. Sincere thanks go to Anna Chaplaincy working group chair Diana Armstrong for her organisation of the day, and to all who enabled such a vibrant gathering to take place.
