Anna Chaplain Anne Powell with Betty and her daughter Joyce at Westview House in Totland Bay, on the Isle of Wight.

It is the familiar hymns and prayers which resonate most with people like care home resident Betty in Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight.

So says West Wight Anna Chaplain Anne Powell. As part of her wider ministry in the community as a chaplain for older people, she supports Joyce and her mother Betty, who lives in the home.

Read an article about her Anna Chaplaincy work on the main Church of England website.

Anne Powell is one of a growing number of Anna Chaplains and Anna Friends in Portsmouth diocese which wants to see 'Anna Chaplaincy in every parish'.
