Well done, Emily, for going 'above and beyond'!
Imagine what it's like for Anna Chaplain Emily Kenward in Brighton to see her face smiling from the side of a bus when she's out and about in town? She was picked for the honour because of the many people her charity supports – Time to Talk Befriending.
Emily had to be persuaded by colleagues at the charity that she founded to allow news of her accolade to appear in this month's TTTB newsletter. That's where we came across it... And do you know what? That's not all! Emily has also had a beautiful wooden bench dedicated in her name as yet another vote of thanks for all she does for the lonely and isolated in the south coast resort (as well as Hove, Worthing and Adur).
We join in sending Emily and her team heartiest congratulations. Both stories show just how appreciated this work is, and just how instrumental to the success of befriending – and offering spiritual care to people – both she and her fellow Anna Chaplains are in the area.
