Looking for a carol service suitable for all? In person, or online... try this one in Market Harborough, billed as ‘A Relaxed Christmas Carol Service For All’.
It is on Wednesday 15 December at 2 pm at St Hugh Church on the corner of Northampton Road and Granville Street, LE16 9HF.
Anna Chaplaincy network member David Palmer says, ‘This is a traditional Christmas carol service that has a relaxed approach for anyone who might find accessing services difficult for a number of reasons, including those living with dementia and their families and carers. The service will gather around our beautiful nativity scene at St Hugh and will include familiar carols to sing along to and short readings of the nativity story to hear. Seasonal refreshments will be available afterwards.’
A recording of the service will be available on their Facebook page: Parish of St Nicholas and St Hugh, Little Bowden. And there’s a flyer you can pass on to others.
If you know any activities coordinators in care homes it is well worth alerting them. They could make use of it any time after 15 December for their residents as they look forward to Christmas.
