Hospice volunteer Anna Tims has written a very moving article about her role in her local hospice. She was apprehensive at first but being involved in delivering such spiritual care turned out to be a transformative experience. Read her story online which appeared in the weekend’s The Observer.
Her experiences make a powerful case for high quality end-of-life care. Anna, who is a vicar’s wife, and had been involved in all sorts of pastoral work beforehand, was unprepared for how her priorities would change as a result of drawing close to people and their families in the closing weeks of life.
