Anna Chaplaincy, part of the coalition Christians Together Against Loneliness, was invited to the launch last night of a report from coalition partner FaithAction.

'Loneliness and social isolation are increasingly being recognised as issues that must be tackled with urgency,' according to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Faith and Society.

The Westminster group hosted representatives from faith groups, acknowledging that they have been undertaking work that addresses these issues for many years. 'But is there anything they can do in order to be more effective? And is their work being recognised by the other agencies and services that are now focusing their efforts on tackling loneliness?' These were the key questions.

‘Right Up Your Street’ was produced by FaithAction for the APPG. See faithaction.net/news/2019/06/13/right-up-your-street
