Recruiting for the role of Anna Coordinator – the closing date for applications is Friday 2 October, 2020.

The Revd Brian Dunlop speaking at the Anna Chaplaincy Annual Gathering October 2017

Many of you will know that Brian Dunlop and the team in Cheltenham have been working hard to develop and fund a model of chaplaincy suitable for Cheltenham and Bishop’s Cleeve.

Emmanuel Church, Cheltenham, October 2017

It is almost three years since Alex Burn and I visited Cheltenham and spoke, one evening, to all interested parties at an event organised by Brian and colleagues at Emmanuel Church.

They went on to form a charity, CaBiC (Cheltenham and Bishop's Cleeve Anna Chaplaincy for Older People), and are currently looking to appoint an Anna Coordinator who will be the promoter and central pivot of CaBiC Anna Chaplaincy in Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve.

Advocate and champion for older people

The Anna Coordinator will be an advocate and champion for the contribution that older people make to society, drawing alongside people of strong, little or no faith, and encouraging the wider church to celebrate and cherish older members of their congregations.

The position will be 10 hours a week and for a fixed term of one year, although further fundraising may enable an extension of one or two years.

If you are interested in becoming their Anna Coordinator, please send a copy of your CV, accompanied by a short letter saying why you would like to be considered for this post, to: Reverend Brian Dunlop, CaBiC c/o: 6 Bath Mews, Bath Parade, Cheltenham, GL53 7HL or alternatively, email your application to: info@cabic.co.uk.

Remember, the closing date for applications is Friday 2 October 2020.

Shortlisting will take place on the 6 October 2020.

Interviews are to be held in week commencing 12 October 2020.
