New Anna Chaplain for Kendal

Updated: Oct 30, 2020

It is such good news that three key appointments have been made in Cumbria lately in relation to Anna Chaplaincy. Our latest Anna Chaplain introduces herself:

Hi, my name is Beverley Moore I am 57-year-old mum of three and grandma of three. I am a retired anaesthetic nurse. I have been a Christian since my early teens.

I have been the dementia enabler of Holy Trinity Kendal Parish Church since 2016 and have established the Kendal Tea Service, which is dementia embracing. Prior to Covid we met on the third Thursday of every month to worship together and enjoy fellowship afterwards with plenty of cakes! We are in the process of putting our services online on YouTube.

I am also involved in Messy Vintage bringing children from two of our local schools into care homes to enjoy time together. I have also created a dementia-friendly area in church to feel like home from home where people can sit to reflect or have some calming moments with a wealth of memory items and dementia literature to hand.

I am ready for the next step in God’s plan for me and looking forward to visiting our care homes as an Anna Chaplain.
