We're delighted to welcome Catherine Clowes to the Anna Chaplaincy network. Catherine was a student on our Cliff College Certificate Course in Ministry among Older People, in Derbyshire, in 2018.
Catherine is Community Link Enabler for the Ripon and Lower Dales Methodist Circuit. 'I have a heart to care for people both inside and outside the church,' she says, 'and to share God's amazing love with them. My job allows me to do that through a wide variety of activities, many of which involve ministering to older people through pastoral visits, leading worship in residential care homes, providing dementia-friendly worship and being part of a number of dementia-friendly activity groups.
'I feel blessed to do a job I enjoy, which I believe God has called me to do and to do it in the beautiful setting of the North Yorkshire Lower Dales.'
Our next week-long course at Cliff College starts on 24 February 2020, and is already fully subscribed with a waiting list! But we'll be returning to Cliff in September and in the spring of 2021, offering more short courses and training people for ministry among older people.
