Variation on a theme... super-soft holding crosses

Updated: Aug 6, 2020

We're familiar with wooden holding crosses, but blog readers are warming to the idea of a softer, comfortingly tactile version.

As well as pincushion sized square and rectangular ones, now we have yet another variation on the theme... using a super-soft textile.

These small cross-shaped cut-outs sewn together are made of felt or similar blanketing material and then stitched on the surface to provide added texture.

They are ideal for giving to someone in pain, or near the end of life, when a more substantial cross might not be so easy to grip.
