Cheltenham and Bishop's Cleeve weren't going to let a good idea pass them by… They are the latest part of the country and the Anna Chaplaincy network to find a little becomes a lot when there's love to spare!
The story of how they have joined other parts of the country in a mass knitting spree is recorded in this charming set of images on YouTube.
Hoping for a few hundred crosses, they found the knitters were so keen in their area they have ended up with far more holding crosses than they could ever have imagined. Now the crosses have been put in gift bags and delivered together with a host of other small gifts and cards to ensure care home residents know they are loved and appreciated.
Special praise goes to Anna Chaplaincy coordinator for Cheltenham and Bishop's Cleeve, Gill Ford, who has been working so hard to organise the project and deliver many hundreds of crosses, cards and chocolates.
Congratulations to all our marvellous network and knitters in so many places across the UK who have put in long hours and effort after what has been such a sad and difficult year for so many people. A real ray of sunshine all round this Easter!
